Each Level has a greater impact on your health than the level below it
The Four Levels of our Program
This is What Makes Us Truly Unique….Lots of People Address Some of these Levels Individually, but We Don’t Know Anyone Offering all this in One Place!
Addressing Methylation
Your Methylation cycle is a key component to human health. Having a fully functioning methylation pathway is important for two big reasons. The first is that methylation is how your body is able to change the expression of your genes. Epigenetics is impossible without methylation. We methylate the histone protein to cover up a gene so that it can’t be read. If we can’t methylate, we can’t change what gene is being expressed even if the signal to do so is getting through. The second has to do with Homocysteine. Homocysteine is a byproduct of protein catabolism and it is an important part of the methylation cycle. We use homocysteine to recharge methionine and turn it into SAM-e which is the universal methyl donor. The problem here is that if we can’t clear homocysteine because we aren’t using it in a fully functional methylation pathway, then it builds up in the cell and high homocysteine levels cause a whole host of issues in the body! Here at GWG we test for all 13 genes that are involved in the methylation pathway and supplement accordingly!

Addressing Mitochondrial Function
The mitochondria are the energy producing “powerhouse” of the cell. We get approximately 87% of our cellular energy from the Electron Transport Chain. Our cellular function is dependent on the energy from this system. The trouble is that recent research has shown, that a whopping 94% of Americans have mitochondrial deficiency! That means that our mitochondria fail to make the proper levels of ATP in the cell and leave our system, starving for energy. Here at GWG we use Methylene Blue and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) to correct mitochondrial dysfunction and restore your Electron Transport Chain to its full capacity.

Addressing Epigenetics
Epigenetics is how your body exerts control over your genes. We are given 2 sets of genes, one from each parent, and our bodies have the ability to switch between which genes we are using to maximize our genetic influences. When you have a SNP in an allele from your mother, but not your father (or visa versa) we call this a Heterozygous gene. Your body can “turn off” that bad allele in favor of the good one. The problem is that oxidative stress works against this system and undoes your bodies hard work. Because of this, epigenetics is a constant struggle to keep good genes “turned on”. When we flood the system with proprioceptive input, your body goes into DNA repair mode and makes positive changes to your genetic coding, but when it is exposed to oxidizers (pollutants, chemicals, dyes, stress), your DNA is damaged and can return to its unfavorable allele option. The key here is minimizing your exposure to oxidizers and maximizing your proprioceptive input. Here at GWG we utilize chiropractic adjustments, intersegmental traction and vibratory therapy to allow your body to use its epigenetic machinery to its fullest capability

Addressing Deficient Enzymes
Homozygous genes are genes where both of your alleles (one from Mom and one from Dad) contain SNPs. In this scenario, Epigenetics can’t help you as there is no good gene to “turn on”. Here is where supplementation plays a key role in your health care. If your body can’t make the enzymes that it needs, then those chemical reactions will never be able to be sped up and you will be deficient in the end product of those chemical reactions. Since there is no way for you to speed up those chemical reactions on your own, we do it for you with targeted nutrition. Our supplements are specifically engineered to overcome for genetic deficiencies. We know through research, exactly how much our chemical processes will slow down and our supplements are dosed to make up for that exact deficiency!
